How many portable restrooms do I need for my event?
There’s no real exact science for determining the number of units you’ll need as no two events are the same. There are many factors taken into consideration when determining how many portable restrooms to rent per event, including but not limited to: How long is your event; How many guests are you expecting? What’s the ratio men to women? How many children will be in attendance? Is alcohol served at the event? How warm will the weather be? Please note: Crossroads Portables delivers restroom units clean and ready for use and finish up the cleaning process on site. We are not responsible for overflowing or overly ‘messy’ units that result in too many uses and not enough restrooms. We will do our best to advise you as our reputation depends on positive user experiences. Additional mid-rental/event servicing outside of regular weekly or biweekly servicing for monthly units and our availability to come out to service your unit(s) is not guaranteed. An emergency trip charge of $75 may also apply.
Do I need to be present when you deliver or pick up the unit(s)? When will you be here? If your invoice has been paid ahead of time (or we know where to find your check (some folks tape it to their propane tank for us)) and we know where we’re placing the unit(s), you do not need to be present at delivery. The service technicians will do their best to place the unit(s) where you have instructed them to do so, but if they aren’t placed just right and you want us to come back to move the unit(s), a fee of $45 per additional visit will be charged.
Additionally, when determining where you would like the unit placed, please consider that we may have to drive on your property so please consider places somewhat easily accessible via solid surfaces/ground that’s sufficient enough to bear the weight of our equipment. You do not need to be present at the time of pickup, but unit must still be accessible.
What forms of payment do you accept? At this time, we are glad to accept VISA, Mastercard, and Discover via paying your invoice online (email address required) or cash/check at the time of delivery. A $35 fee will be assessed to all returned checks. Receipts are available via email, upon request. Access. You agree, at all times, to allow the Crossroads Portables access to the unit(s) in a location where it/they can be serviced/picked up in all kinds of weather, according to our availability with a reasonable level of ease.
Excessive Trash. Crossroads Portables understands and expects that things happen in portable restroom that is outside of anyone’s control but the user at the time. We recommend placing garbage cans close to the units for diapers, feminine products, clothes (yes, it happens) fast food wrappers, etc. If we consistently take this kind of waste out of our units (especially on monthly rentals) a $50 trash fee will be assessed.
Damage/Vandalism to Equipment. You agree to notify Crossroads Portables of any damage to equipment as soon as it is observed so that proper repairs may be made to ensure serviceability, safety and to prevent additional damage. (Examples where you would be charged damage fees: If someone were to draw, carve, burn, bust, break, etc. the unit(s) in any way while at your rental location. This also includes damage from cigarettes.) You agree to pay reasonable costs of repair and/or replacement of the equipment while using the following guidelines:
– You will pay a service fee of $75 per incident;
– Plus, in all incidents, you will pay any and all parts and labor fees up to $250.00;
– For repairs totaling $250.01 or more (parts and labor), you will be required to pay half of the balance remaining over $250.
EXAMPLE: Total Repair Bill = $350. Your total responsibility would be $374.99 ($75 incident fee + $250 minimum and half of remaining balance $49.99) Fire, theft or vandalism must be reported immediately to the proper authorities within twenty-four (24) hours of hours of occurrence and furnish a copy of the police report to the Crossroads Portables within a reasonable time frame.
By accepting delivery, you are accepting of this policy. We take damage/vandalism to our units VERY SERIOUSLY. We ask that you do too.
Indemnity. You agree not to hold Crossroads Portables responsible for any damages to property or personnel outside of the Provider’s own negligence. It is expressly understood that this Agreement conveys to the you any right, title, or interest in the equipment other than as a rental. (Example- if you are wanting your unit(s) to be placed in your backyard and Crossroads Portables damages your lawn to get back there or damages well/septic/underground fence, etc., we are not liable in any way.)
Cancellation Fees. For equipment rentals of 2 units or less, cancellation is allowed 48 hours prior to delivery without cancellation fees. If you cancel your reservation inside 48 hour delivery window, you will be charged 30% of the anticipated rental fee. For equipment rentals with 2 units or more, cancellation is allowed 7 days prior to delivery without cancellation fees. If you cancel your reservation inside 7 days of the delivery date, you will be charged 30% of the anticipated rental fee.
Returned Checks. A $35 returned check fee will be assessed on all returned checks.
